Des Moines has many bus systems that run through the city including a free downtown bus that operates on a circulatory system, a free shuttle service and a Paratransit service for disabled people. DART is the official DOT bus system in the area, and it offers over 90 buses that run through the Des Moines area on a daily basis. Des Moines has a unique bike rental service called the B-cycle rental. You can rent bikes to use around the downtown area. The bike rental stations are set up at several locations in the city. You can get a four hour pass for $5 at the station or pay for a monthly or yearly membership online.
